kindness.

wow. today started out as an alright day. then i remembered i had to go to work. which i love work, but there are days when work is the last thing i want to do with my life. so i get to work, and start doing my thing. its kinda boring and the hours are just slowly creepering by. so i decided to take the garbage and the recycling out. i dispose of the recycling at a near by elementry school, then find the nearest garbage thing. i dump everything successfully, but i had another round to go. so i grab that round and i make my way back to the garbage tank thing. as i'm about to throw my second box into the can, some sweet child of god comes up and freaks out at me. asks me what the freak i was doing, told me he was going to call the cops on me, and instructed me to put the box in my hands on the roof of my car and told me to start getting the shiz i had previously thrown away out of the can. that made me a little suspicious, i wont lie, but i asked him nicely if i could put the box in my hands into my trunk to make less work for myself. after giving me a look of disgust, he let me by. i start fishing around in the most awful smelling and looking garbage can to get stuff that i had hoped was mine out of the can.. he sat back and just watched me try to get old odd end binders and vendor catalogs out of this dumpster. after i get all the ones i could easily reach, he walks up, looks at me, looks into the dumpster and says "thats good enough i guess, you know if you had just asked, i would have let you use my garbage can" then he proceeds to give me advice for future dumping. i haven't cried this hard in a very long time. as i was driving away, i thought, what if he was one of those creepers that wanted to kidnap me, steal my car, rape me, and dispose of my body in previously mentioned dumpster. he could have done it, had i put my box on the roof instead of in my trunk....

  1. oh little nettles. that is the problem with dumping trash in that neck of the woods. i am glad he just made you cry rather then kidnapping you, stealing your car, etc. i am glad you could see he was still a child of god.

  2. you should have said "well i figured, seeing you live in the ghetto, that the saying 'one person's trash another one's treasure' would be fitting for this situation, but i guess you'll have to miss out on your treasure this time sucka!" just sayin.
